A 92-year-old Indian woman reached Pakistan after 75 years to see her native home
Rawalpindi (Daily Pakistan Online) Love for Pakistan brought the 92-year-old Indian woman Reena Verma to her ancestral home in Rawalpindi after 75 years. Reena Verma and her family moved to India during the partition of India 75 years ago.
According to the details, the dream of 92-year-old Indian woman Reena Verma to reach Rawalpindi came true when she applied for a visa to Pakistan. After which Sajjad Haider of Rawalpindi contacted him and shared pictures and videos of his ancestral home. Prem Niwas was built in 1935 and named Prem Niwas after Reena's father, Prem Chand Chhabarke.
In her video shared on social media, Reena Chhabar has said that she applied for a visa in 2021, which was rejected, after which she wished to see her home on social media and also tagged Hanarbani Khar. Director of Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, Aftab Hasan Khan, met her and gave her a 90-day visa. Reena Verma arrived in Pakistan via Wagah border on Saturday morning. Done, Reena immediately left for her hometown Rawalpindi from Wagah border.
Where she arrived to visit her ancestral home, Prem Niwas, she received a grand welcome, the villagers welcomed her with great joy, cheering with bangles, drumbeats and flowers.
